Fortifying the Safety Defense Line, Honing Skilled Vanguard—Employee Safety Skills Real-World Competition during Safety Production Month

To further implement the requirements of the 25th National “Work Safety Month” campaign and stay firmly aligned with the theme “Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Can Respond to Emergencies—Identifying and Rectifying Risks and Hazards,” the company held a practical skills competition for employees on the morning of June 26, 2026. The company’s leadership team, the Safety and Environmental Protection Department, the General Office, and frontline production staff attended the event, and the company’s principal executive, Manager Han Junying, delivered a pre‑competition mobilization address.

This event aims to assess frontline employees’ emergency response capabilities through on-site competitions, thereby enhancing their ability to react promptly and effectively in any situation. The competition placed particular emphasis on practical, hands-on assessments of proper self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) donning, correct fire extinguisher usage, real‑world firefighting procedures, and relevant technical knowledge. Each participant adhered strictly to established protocols, executing tasks with precise movements and seamless workflow, swiftly completing the challenges and demonstrating robust operational expertise, while fostering a positive atmosphere of “competition, learning, striving, and surpassing.”

In recent years, as companies have continued to expand in scale—particularly in the chemical industry, where numerous risk points and stringent requirements for handling emergencies prevail—the ability of emergency response teams to be mobilized promptly and to respond effectively at critical moments has become a key priority for ensuring safe production. The core objective of this skills competition is to drive training through competitive challenges and to address existing weaknesses by benchmarking against top performers, thereby strengthening, through real‑world scenarios, the capacity of all personnel to conduct self‑rescue and coordinate collaborative rescue operations.

This skills competition featured an eight-member judging panel and employed open, fair, and impartial scoring criteria. Cash prizes and additional points toward team performance were awarded on the spot. Following a fiercely contested event, Zhou Lei took first place and received a reward of 500 yuan; Zhang Bo placed second and was awarded 300 yuan; and Xin Tongxuan secured third place with a prize of 200 yuan. Moving forward, the company will continue to leverage Safety Production Month as an opportunity to conduct regular safety training and drills, thereby enhancing all employees’ safety awareness and improving their emergency response capabilities, thus laying a solid foundation for the enterprise’s safe and efficient development.
